Vistaprint seeks a Lead Software Engineer for Webs, its Digital Services business unit.


The right person will help move our platform to the next level. You’ll be working as part of a skilled, collaborative team to jointly design and implement high visibility applications. This is an IDEAL job if you are an engineer with 4-7+ years of experience who wants to be part of a small, intensely skilled team, feels total ownership of your work, and can’t imagine a day without coding.   You will play a crucial role in the Webs platform and everything you do will matter.

Your role will involve:

Leading and mentoring developers, quality engineers, and other technical resources
Influence the direction of the team by Identifying, prioritizing, and setting the implementation goals

Designing, developing and supporting components of the contact center platform including user interface, business rules, object model and database model.
Web application development using ASP.NET MVC
Conduct code reviews and perform automated code migrations
Debug and troubleshoot defects and production incidents
Assist in performance analysis along with application reporting and monitoring
Development of internal and external web pages, and tools for configuration, operations, deployment
Contribute to and promote teamwork in a multi-vendor environment developing complex multi-layered enterprise applications


In return you will bring:

Engineer degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent technical field with at least 4-7+ years experience working in a software application development or development manager role.

At least five years industry experience working in a software application development role.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or similar
Proven leadership skills including: mentoring, coaching, and collaboration; must be able to inspire and mentor junior and senior team members
Demonstrated leadership abilities in cross-disciplinary teams
Problem solving and multitasking ability in a fast-paced, globally distributed environment
Strong communication skills, including the ability to work with business partners to understand and refine requirements
Experience in an SOA environment, ideally with RESTful services
Database design / programming with SQL
Familiarity with software development for the web (CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, DHTML, XML)
Experience with agile methodologies and short release cycles
Familiarity with business process modeling or contact center applications a plus
